CRDF Global, a U.S.-based non-profit organization, is organising free training series on intellectual property protection in Nigeria.
CRDF Global delivers capacity-building training around the world. The title of the upcoming series is titled
Protecting Research and Intellectual Property from Malign Technology Transfer in Nigeria. The essence of this series is to reduce the risk of technology transfer in the Nigerian industry.
The program’s first component is a webinar on May 5, 2022. It will raise awareness of the importance of developing institutional best practices by discussing research threats and the risks that dual-use research can pose.
Penguide Group will be on hand to give hands-on training to those participants of the first webinar, whether institutions or individuals, This training will be one-on-one.
Addressing topics such as IP protection, IP and development, recognizing nefarious uses of research and technology, identifying vulnerabilities in research, the role of IP in international technology transfer, open innovation, and protection of IP, this training is essential to participants who want to thrive in their various field of research.
To create frameworks and best practices for internal review committees at their respective institutions, during the workshop, participants and experts will work together.
