CHAN 2014: Super Eagles of Nigeria to Face Black Stars of Ghana in Semi-final

The home-based Super Eagles representing Nigeria at the Africa Nations Championship in South Africa will face their Ghanaian counterparts in one of the semi final pairings of the tournament. The Black Stars of Ghana emerged as Eagles’ opponent after clinching a berth in the Semi-final with a win over former CHAN champions, Democratic Republic of Congo, in Sunday’s quarter final match. Adusuei got the solitary goal from the penalty spot in 68th minute to shoot Ghana into the lead and book a date with Nigeria in the semi final. The semi final duel between the two West African countries is expected to be a crunch duel due to the fierce rivalry in football between both countries, which are regarded two of the best on the continent. The match comes up on Wednesday at the Free Stars Stadium, Muagang, South Africa.
