Canada 2014: Falconets Defeat New Zealand 4-1 to Face Korea Republic in Semi-Final

Nigeria’s Falconets defeated New Zealand 4 goals to 1 in their quarter final match to proceed to the semi-final at the ongoing FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Canada. Nigeria dominated the game and got her first goal in the 31st second of the match through Asisat Oshoala who doubled the lead in the 11th minute. Second half substitute, Uchechi Sunday extended Nigeria’s lead in the 84th minutes as New Zealand got a late consolatory goal in ‎the 89th minute‎. Uchechi Sunday got her second goal and Nigeria’s 4^th at 90 minutes. With three wins in row so far, Nigeria will face Korea Democratic Republic in the semi-finals.
