British Council Presents Naija Street Stories

Are you an aspiring or current filmmaker? The British Council is currently calling on all young Nigerian filmmakers to submit entries for a new project themed Naija Street Stories. The documentary project aims to tell true life stories about Africa’s most populated country from the perspective of its youth. Potential participants are being asked to send in short documentary story ideas, and eventually, three will be shortlisted by a panel of experts. They’ll also get the chance to be mentored by some of the UK’s finest documentary makers belonging to Hatch Africa, FMA Productions, Triggshot Productions and British Council networks.The last film standing will be shot on location in Nigeria. Naija Street Stories is an element of the ongoing arts and culture initiative called the United Kingdom-Nigeria (UK/NG) 2015/2016 . Forty million Nigerians (ages 18-35) will be connected to the United Kingdom in this new initiative which strives to create new audiences in Arts and Culture.
