The CIPP program is an initiative of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and is being executed in partnership with Mercy Corps. Since its commencement in 2019, both bodies have worked through the CIPP program to prevent violent conflict in six states across the North West and North Central regions: Benue, Plateau, Kogi, Kaduna, Kano and Katsina. Mercy Corps intends to have an intern working with it, who will provide support to the CIPP and manage the daily affairs of the program. The intern will attend to complex and sensitive issues and is expected to handle them in a professional manner. Note that this position is based in the FCT (Abuja).

Job Details
This internship role comes with the following responsibilities:- Taking care of office systems, including filing and data management
- Managing CIPP activity-related travel arrangements
- Work with the supervisor to research and follow up issues that are part of responsibilities around the CIPP program
- Produce reports, briefing papers, and presentations for the supervisor
- Help with the preparation of agendas and minutes of meetings
- Ensure that activities are carried out in compliance with Mercy Corps and its donor’s regulations around peace and conflict programming
Eligibility
Persons interested in applying for this internship role are expected to meet these conditions:- Have a Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Science field
- Possess strong IT skills, including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Be able to organize work schedules and pay close attention to detail
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
