Apply For The PAGES African Mobility Fellowship

  As part of efforts aimed at supporting early-career African scientists who are focused on studying past global changes through support in the form of international research experience within the African continent, the Past Global Changes (PAGES), has announced the Inter-Africa Mobility Research Fellowship Program, also known as the African Mobility Fellowship.

The African Mobility Fellowship offers limited financial support to early-career African researchers for travel and other research-related experiences. PhD students and postdoctoral researchers currently affiliated with African institutions are eligible to apply for the program. The primary goal of the African Mobility Fellowship is to promote and enhance collaborative research.

Some of the benefits of the program include:

  1. Economic class flight for selected individuals.
  2. Payment of expenses related to visa and travel documents.
  3. Provision of subsistence and accommodation costs for the duration of the program.
Note: There is no provision for insurance costs for the program.

To be eligible for the program:

  1. Candidates must be in the final stage of their PhD program or within five years of completing their PhD.
  2. Candidates must hold a student or paid position in their home country at the time of their application and their fellowship period.
  3. Candidates must be citizens of an African country or presently working in an African institution.
  4. Candidates must be involved in research within the scientific scope of PAGES.
  5. Applicants must have secured an agreement from a host researcher/institution in another African country.
