The Centre of African Studies at the University of London is inviting young Nigerian academics to apply for a fellowship program funded by the Leventis Foundation, which will see them take part in collaborative research with peers at the University of London.
The fellowship is designed to help younger academics to become better researchers in the fields of library and archives and take part in the intellectual activities at the centre.
This program will last for three months. It could be especially suited for scholars who are developing their PhD thesis into a form that can be published.

Eligibility
Applicants should be academics at reputable Nigerian universities. They are expected to apply by filling out a Google Document online and submitting the following documents via the platform:- A Curriculum Vitae (CV), at most two pages long.
- A statement detailing their current research interest and what research goals they aim to achieve during their stint at the University of London (this document should be no more than 1,000 words long).
- An academic reference letter supporting the application.
- Applicants should have a Gmail account (or create one if none exists).
A steering committee will evaluate the applications. Applicants will get an email informing them of the committee’s decision following the deadline for applications.
The deadline for applications is March 31, 2022.
