Apply For The Israel-Nigeria Innovation Fellowship For Aspiring Inventors And Researchers (i-FAIR)

  The Israeli Embassy in Nigeria and the Office of the Vice President are inviting innovators, inventors, and researchers in Nigeria to apply for their initiative, the Innovation Fellowship for Aspiring Inventors and Researchers, i-FAIR.

The i-FAIR is a six-month program in which participants will be provided with the workspace, equipment, and mentoring they need to transform their ideas into prototypes that can be produced at an industrial scale. Areas of focus for the program are medical devices and simulation, food technology, disability inclusion, renewable energy/environmental management, agriculture, and food security. Partners in the program include Zenith Bank, Air Peace, NIRSAL, the World Bank, UNESCO, ECOWAS, AfDB, and various MDAs of the Nigerian government.

How The Program Will Unfold

Applications for the i-FAIR program will remain open until Thursday, September 30. Between October 1 and November 15, applications will be screened, and invitations to the program will be sent out to successful applicants. The program consists of four stages, to unfold between December 2021 and June 2022: Stage 1: An opening event open to i-FAIR participants will be held on October 7. This will be followed by an interactive innovation Bootcamp for participants, to be held from October 8-10. Stage 2: A preliminary validation of concept and market with an online training themed “Entrepreneurship and Business Development”. This will last between December 2021 and February 2022. Stage 3: The program will transition to a ‘practical product and business development’ stage. This stage will last from February to May 2022. Stage 4: On the final week of the event, participants will prepare for, and take part in a Demo Day and Exhibition, fixed for June 8-9.
