Apart from playing a key role in the achievement of the Digital Impact Alliance goals of “improving the design, deployment, and governance of foundational digital systems, services, and data sharing innovations,” fellows of the Digital Impact Alliance Fellowship are also expected to contribute their knowledge and research agenda. Fellows must show eagerness towards supporting the thematic priorities:
- Creating more value for more people from data.
- Understanding how digital systems and services impact people, including and especially the most marginalized.
- Accelerating the adoption of data sharing and governance practices that fuel innovation and empower people.

Eligibility for the Digital Impact Alliance Fellowship:
- The applicant must have 8–15 years of experience in the field of digital development, policy, or research.
- The applicant must demonstrate interest and work experience at the intersection of technology and society.
- The applicant must focus on topics including, but not limited to, digital public infrastructure and data governance.
- The applicant must have a track record of producing qualitative research, writing, or policy briefs.
- The applicant should possess strong analytical and communication skills.
