The scholarship specifically targets orphaned students who may not have the means to support themselves through higher education. Established in 2014, the AAI Scholarship sponsors its beneficiaries who secure a place in undergraduate programs abroad.
Benefits
Persons selected for the AAI scholarship will benefit from it in the following ways:- Tuition fees are fully paid for by organizers of the scholarship.
- Have their room, travel costs, and other fees covered as well.
- Access to a world-class education at little cost to the beneficiaries.
Eligibility
Persons who want to apply for the AAI scholarship should meet the following criteria:- Born after September 1999.
- Lost one or both of their parents.
- Completed secondary school within the last two years.
- Finished within the top 10% of their class in their final three years of secondary school.
- Lack the means to support themselves through university.
- Proficient in English, Portuguese or French.
- Be available to take part in Ashinaga’s one-year preparatory program in the lead-up to attending university.
- Be healthy and lack dependents whose needs might interfere with the beneficiary’s education.

Documents Needed For Application
Persons who intend to apply for the AAI scholarship are expected to submit the following online:- Photo or scan of their birth certificate, passport, or national ID card
- Photo or scanned copy of their most recent school term transcript
- Photo or scanned copy of their final secondary school examination result certificate
The Lead-Up To The Scholarship
Following the application deadline, applications will be assessed, and selected candidates will be invited for further screening. The examination is designed to determine the applicant’s academic abilities and possible career fit. Candidates are advised to bring their academic and identification documents along with them to the screening. The deadline for applications is January 28, 2022.
