The core objective of the Emerald Case Writing Competition is to encourage and promote the development of high-quality teaching case materials in Africa, the Middle East This initiative is important to the transformative and emerging economies, especially Africa, the Middle East, Pakistan, and Turkey. Developing the case-writing ability of participants is another major objective of the program.

To be eligible for the program
- Your writing must be focused on an emerging market in Africa, the Middle East, Turkey, or Pakistan.
- The author must be based at a higher academic institution in the country of focus.
- The writing must be based on a real situation in a real company.
- The writing submitted must be a teaching case, not an academic write-up.
- The applicant’s teaching case must not have been published before in its current or substantially similar form or be under consideration for publication in any ISSN/ISBN-registered publication or with any other case centre.
- Your submission must meet the standard EMCS author guidelines.
