The World Bank Accountability Mechanism (AM) Internship “offers motivated young professionals from the global south an opportunity to be exposed to the mission and work of the World Bank Accountability Mechanism.”
To be considered eligible for the program:
- The applicant should hold a degree in relevant subjects such as law, social science, and more, with a unique relevance to dispute resolution or accountability internationally. Candidates with qualifications of relevant professional experience have an advantage.
- The applicant should demonstrate personal interest in developments at the community level and also towards social and environmental topics.
- The applicant must be keen on working in an international environment and understanding complex cultural and geopolitical differences.
- You must demonstrate strong organizational and research skills.

- The applicant must be a team player and must demonstrate the ability to work in a multicultural environment and build and maintain relationships with colleagues.
- You must have excellent English communication skills. Applicants should include a cover letter tailored to their application and state why they should be considered for the position.
- Additional language skills are an advantage (for example, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic, Swahili, and other languages relevant to the work of the Accountability Mechanism).
- You must be flexible with travelling and working hours.

Features of the program include:
- It will take place in Washington, DC.
- It is a six-month program.
- It is fully funded.
- Visa support will be provided for successful candidates to obtain the necessary work visa for the duration of the internship.
