Apple’s App Stores Soon to Charge in Naira

Stock Photo, Adelaide

Good news for customers of Apple as they’ve made a change to their pricing policy. Presently, purchases made by users on the Apple Store and other products are in US Dollars and this has proven challenging to many Nigerians, especially with the forex issues.

With the new pricing policy soon to be implemented, purchases across Apple’s platforms would now be made in Naira for customers in Nigeria instead of US Dollars. This policy is also reflected in 8 other countries, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Qatar, Tanzania and Vietnam, whom would be able to make use of their local currencies in making purchases.

Users who are on an auto-renewable subscription won’t have their subscription interrupted but will be notified by email as to the currency change. Also, a mail will be sent to apple developers informing them of the currency change.
