Afrinolly is an app for movie enthusiasts to stream African movies and videos on their mobile devices.
Chike Maduegbuna is the mastermind behind the Afrinolly app. He was inspired to build the app after two members of his team participated in a two-day event organized by Google. The pair got insights into the necessity of an app that would cover all African-related entertainment issues.
Afrinolly was launched in August 2011. Barely two months later, the app won the Google’s first Android Developers Challenge for Sub-Saharan Africa.
