Mobile technology hasn’t erased this love for radio. In fact, it’s making it easier for people to tune in. We no longer need bulky sets that blare out music or talk. Radio apps get the job done, providing even higher quality reception and crispier audio. The NigRadio App is one of many smartphone applications in this category. But it’s not just a regular FM radio listening tool. With it, you can access over 400 Nigerian radio stations broadcasting from all over the country, and beyond. That number includes the best-known talk, music, and sports radio stations in Nigeria. Whether you’re looking for a programming set in Lagos or the FCT, Kano or Rivers State, Anambra or Jigawa, you’ll find something worth listening to.

The app allows Nigerians to listen to news from far-off regions of the country, tune in to live church services, enjoy live sports coverage, listen to African and global music, and choose from an assortment of programs. Also included are radio stations run by Nigerians in the United Kingdom and the United States, and Nigerian language services of well-known international broadcasters like the BBC, DW, and RFI. There are more than two-dozen online-only radio stations captured on the NigRadio App. Religious broadcasters are present too, as are language podcasts and stations operating on the AM frequency. The app is run by NigRadio, an organization that tracks radio stations operating across Nigeria and provides people across the world—especially the Nigerian diaspora –with a means of listening to these stations. NigRadio also has a website on which visitors can also access them. The NigRadio App is available for download on the Google Play store. Featured Image Source: Nigradio
