App Of The Week: NaijaLudo

Google Play

Among Nigerian household games, Ludo remains a classic, forever. However, Ludo might not be so much of a household game as it once was. It has now gone digital thanks to Tonielrosoft,  the developers of the Naija Ludo game.

The game is a fun one that can be played by people of all ages. Its features include:

The Naija Ludo game supports five languages which are English, French, Italian, Indonesian, and German.

How To Play

The game provides four pieces per player and a set of dice. It supports a maximum of two players with two houses each. In order to win, you have to successfully get eight pieces home before your opponent. Like the traditional Ludo game, a player can only emerge from his/her house when the outcome of the dice is 6.  However, a piece that is already on the track can move no matter what dice outcome is played. You only win the game if you succeed in getting you piece home before your opponent or capture your opponent’s piece.

You succeed in capturing your opponent’s piece when you land in the box occupied by your opponent. The captured piece returns home while the ‘captor’ is removed from the board.

The NaijaLudo game is a lot like the physical Ludo game except that it is on a digital platform.
