Building the next generation of global technology leaders by recruiting, equipping and positioning tech talents in Africa is Andela’s core mission, and this it does through well curated programmes such as
The Andela Fellowship, and other
distributed learning platforms.
The Android Learning Community (ALC 1.0) which was launched earlier this year in partnership with Google and Udacity, caters for aspiring and newbie Android developers. According to Andela, ALC 1.0 saw over 4,500 unique applications, supported over 2,000 learners, and produced over 1,000 Android confident graduates with more than 70 Google Certified Associate Android Developers.
Andela Learning Community (ALC 2.0) is back, and is bigger and better. You’d notice the difference in the name – the ‘A’ now stands for Andela and not Android. This is because ALC 2.0 not only offers training for Android developers, but also for those interested in Web design and Product design. the Android and Web design track are available at beginner and intermediate levels, while product design is only available at the intermediate level.
