Amokachi Names Super Eagles Squad for Friendlies

Interim Super Eagles coach, Daniel Amokachi has called up uncapped Watford’s striker, Odion Ighalo and Aalesunds’ defender, Akeem Latifu for the upcoming friendlies against Bolivia and South Africa. Amokachi has also recalled striker, Brown Ideye and midfielder, John Ogu but placed Victor Moses on standby for the games. “The Bull” penned down 28 players for the games but opted to omit Mikel Obi, who is currently recovering from a knee surgery. The players will converge at the Le Meridien Hotel, Uyo on Monday, 23rd March for the clash with Bolivia on 26th March, before flying out to South Africa on Friday, 27th March for the battle with Bafana Bafana in Nelspruit on Sunday, 29th March.   FULL NIGERIAN SQUAD: Goalkeepers: Vincent Enyeama (Lille OSC, France); Theophilus Afelokhai (Kano Pillars); Chidiebere Eze (Ifeanyi Ubah United).
