Sengalese-American recording artiste, Akon was spotted in Lagos this Sunday in a white traditional kaftan.
The world renowned musician, whose hits Lonely and Locked Up remain fan favourites, paid an honorary visit to Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode at the State House.
Born Aliaune Damala Bouga Time Bongo Puru Nacka Lu Lu Lu Badara Akon Thiam, Akon is the first solo artist to hold both the number one and two spots simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100 charts twice. He is also the founder of two record labels, Konvict Muzik and Kon Live Distribution, and is currently touring Africa to promote his solar energy project.
According to YNaija, the Republic of Niger is the artiste’s next stop on his tour.
