Ahmed Musa Gearing up for Double-Header Match With a Bang

With the AFCON qualifiers set to commence with a double header match later this month, Nigerian footballers abroad are already getting their fitness levels up. Most notably this weekend was Ahmed Musa who delivered a brace for his Russian club side CSKA Moscow.
Musa followed up a Bebras Natcho penalty goal, putting CSKA Moscow two goals up eight minutes after the half time break.
After Natcho grabbed his brace in the 54th minute, Ahmed Musa made it 4-0 with his second of the day.
Roman Eremenko made it five for CSKA Moscow in the 65th minute as FK Rostov struggled to come to terms with the host attacking style.
Natcho however went home with the match ball when he struck his third of the game at 90 minutes on the dot.
Last season despite missing two months due to an injury, Musa scored seven times in 26 games, four goals short of his tally the previous season. CSKA Moscow, pitted against Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Roma in what has been termed the group of death in the Champions League, have won two of their first six domestic games so far. Prior to today’s victory they have been winless in their last three games.
With only a few Nigerians currently in top form, Musa, who scored 2 goals during the just concluded 2014 FIFA World Cup, is giving hope to Nigeria at this point in time that the Nigerian football house is in disarray.
