African Fashion Week to Hold in Lagos in May

Africa Fashion Week Nigeria, an offshoot of the Africa Fashion Week London, will hold at the Intercontinental Hotel, Lagos, on May 17 and 18, 2014, the organizers have announced. According to the press statement from the organizers, the event is aimed at celebrating Nigerian and African fashion from the last decade while also providing talented young designers a platform to showcase their talents as well as meet potential investors. Billed to attend the fashion event are Hon. Abike Dabiri Erewa, who will be the patron of the event, with Senator Daisy Danjuma and Molade Okoya serving as grand patrons and businesswoman, Folorunsho Alakija, as the special guest. African Fashion Week Nigeria is supported by the Lagos State Government, Fadan, St Eve’s Media, FOREO and NNTD. It will be produced by Mahogany Studio and Tianna Styling academy in collaboration with Chief Abiola Okoya of Mibod Global Resources.
