AFCON 2013: Super Eagles Player Profile – Nosa Igiebor

Emmanuel Nosakhare Igiebor was born in Abuja on 9 November 1990. He started his career with Abuja FC, joining Warri Wolves a year later.
He spent two years with Warri Wolves before jetting off to Norway to join Lillestom. He’s since played in Israel and Spain for Hapoel Tel Aviv and Real Betis respectively.
The attacking midfielder made his debut for Nigeria during the AFCON qualifiers and was outstanding in Eagles’ 6-1 thumping of Liberia on October 13 2012 in Calabar.
At the African Cup of Nations – he started the opening game against Burkina Faso but didn’t live up to the billing and was dropped for the second game.
He maintained a place on the Super Eagles bench, from which he cheered his team mates to cup glory on Sunday, and went down in history, as one of those who received the AFCON 2013 gold medal.
