ADC Adopts Peter Obi For President

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has endorsed the Labor Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and VP candidate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, for the presidency.

The endorsement came on the heels of a grand coalition for the Obi/Datti presidency. The star alliance partners are Nigeria Mothers for Good Governance, Fulani United, Nigeria Artisans, League of Imams, Nigeria Traders, Yoruba United, Mega Political Coalition, Kanuris United, Amalgamated Coalitions, CEG Groups and Nigeria Legions United. Among those who attended the event include ADC National Chairman, BoT Chairman, and a chieftain of the Labor Party (LP), Professor Pat Utomi.

According to the ADC BOT chairman, Mani Ibrahim:
“Today, we come together as a family and as a formidable third force: our grand patrons and BoT members, our National Executive Council, and our National Working Committee…Our Diaspora Network and our National Youth Council are also involved to take a stand in solidarity, moving forward for the viable presidential candidate the entire nation is clamouring for.”
He also noted that the Party’s decision was reached after it had screened all presidential candidates contesting the 25th of February presidential election.
