A Jazz Festival Worth Remembering

The Lagos Jazz festival that kicked off on 28th November and lasted till 1st of December was one of a kind as Muri Okunola Park was kept alive on those days by families, friends, vendors and really great Jazz music.

It was an all-pure Jazz affair that started out with amazing performances by South African band, Mi Casa and Nigeria’s Ejay Blackmagic that got the crowd dancing in joy and requesting an encore.

On the second day, the crowd was extra pumped as the festival featured performances from Nigeria’s Afrobeat stars, Seun Kuti and Dede Mabiaku. Saturday and Sunday had mind-blowing performances from great acts like Zaina, Mo’Eazy, M.I and Friends, Orliam, Nduduzo, Waje, Nosa, Survival and Seyi Shay. Also on Saturday, the festival featured at the renowned Federal Palace Hotel with an headline performance from Marcus Miller. Other performing acts of the day had Nduduzo, Orlando Julius, and Orliam.
