‘Tis the season to be jolly, tra la la la la la la la la!
This tune heralds Christmas time. Everyone loves this season for diverse reasons; for some it’s a time to just chill – you do not worry about work as you stuff your face with yummy delicacies or make plans with friends and family to make the most of the season.
Lagos can often be a stressful city to live in, with the
hustle and bustle that makes it the city that it is, and for some, even Christmas offers no respite.
Some people choose to ignore the festivities around them, not because they really want to, but because they can’t afford to partake of the festivities.
Here to Help
At Here to Help (H2H), we want to make this year’s Christmas a little nicer for people in the Ilaje community. Ilaje is a slum located around Bariga, Lagos but can be assessed from Costain. A newspaper report describes the place as ‘poverty-stricken’.
Our job is simple – put smiles on people’s faces. In order to do this effectively, we need your help.
Our aim is to feed, clothe, supply basic living materials to inhabitants of the community, empower three schools in the community, and pay hospital bills of two patients at LUTH.
We need your donations in the following areas:
Rice, Vegetable Oil, Beans, Garri, Spaghetti, Seasoning cubes, Salt, Beverages, Diapers, Toys, New/ Gently used clothes and shoes, Stationery, Money (for hospital bills and tuition).
