7 Tips to Keep Your White Sneakers Clean
At this point, it’s evident that sneakers are now wardrobe essentials. Both gents and ladies are crushing on it, they are a go-to shoe for any fashionista. Sneakers are fabulous, looks casual yet stylish and is great with any outfit. We can all agree, yes, sneakers are awesome, when they are new.  Anyone who owns a pair of white sneakers knows the struggle it takes to keep them looking like it’s never been worn. Let’s face it, once you step out to run a brief errand, you’re sure to meet with natural road disasters like, dirt and mud which inevitably stains them. To be fair, it doesn’t help if you have to wear them frequently. But considering they’re so gorgeous, and a hit on every outfit, you can’t help but rock them to death. Not everyone can afford to keep buying new sneakers whenever they get smudged or look old, so it’s important to have handy a couple of tricks to keep those dolls looking brand new. Don’t put your sneakers in a washing machine: this is a definite NO. Sneakers should be treated gently and not rough handled, and a washing machine will be harsh on them. Wash them only with hands. Use white nail polish: Little smudges or scratches can be easily removed with a nail polish. Touch up on the areas you see the marks and voila it gives you the magic. Use a tooth brush to get to hidden corners: To get to the nook and crannies better, use a toothbrush, warm water and mild soap. You can equally use bleach but make sure to dilute it. Gently scrub then rinse with warm water. Use wipes or a hand towel: Dip the towel in cider vinegar. Again, gently rub your sneakers to remove stains. Use mild shampoo on oil stains: in case you step in oily food (most of us would have had this experience). Don’t fret. Once you get home take shampoo, water and an old toothbrush or hand towel. Gently dab the area you have the smudge, that should fix it. Be gentle with the laces too: this too should be treated with tender care. Remember, they are also a significant part of your sneakers. Hand wash them in warm water with mild soap and air dry. Last but not the least: don’t leave your sneakers outside. Too much sun exposure leads to discolouration and they start looking dull. Preserve them in a cool, dark, corner of the house. You’d be happy every time you wear your cuties.
