$50,000 Equity on Offer in the MEST Africa Challenge for Early Stage Technology Startups

The Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) invites early-stage technology startups from across Africa to enter its annual pitch competition, the MEST Africa Challenge. This program presents them with a chance to win equity funding, enjoy global visibility, and receive lifetime support from the MEST community and its partners.

Now in its fifth year, the MEST Africa Challenge opens up opportunities for growth to startups based in Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Kenya, and South Africa. Thus far, it has exposed hundreds of African startups to a global audience and helped them on the path to tremendous success. The organizers of the 2023 edition of this competition say that this year’s program will be no different in that respect.

Eligibility

This competition is open to startups that meet these conditions:

Must have a monthly recurring revenue of at least $5,000
Raised no more than $1 million thus far (cumulative)
In existence for no more than 3 years
Should have at least 6 months of recurring revenue
Must have at least 2 founding team members
Startups registered in Delaware will be given preference
