Have you ever gotten to the end of your day after work, and felt like you really didn’t achieve much or you ended up doing the things that didn’t really matter? Yep, it happens to the best of us. But it doesn’t have to stay that way. So, below are a few tools – apps, that will improve the way you work, and help you organize your daily schedule better.
Freedom
The Freedom app performs a pretty simple task that may be the key to your productive day. Freedom blocks your apps, social media, and other websites, preventing you from using them for a period of time. Basically, it helps you eliminate distractions, so you can focus on a single task. If you’re kind of addicted to social media, pings, chatheads, candy crush or whatever is trending out there, this will help you break the habit.
The app also allows you choose how long you want to block all the distracting stuff, and you can set it to work at that same time every day. It’s available on for Android, iOS/Mac, and Windows devices.
Pocket
Find something cool on the internet you’d like to read later? Pocket it, and revisit it when you are free so you can focus more on the task at hand. Be it an article, audio, video, or whatever, you can set it aside using pocket, and come back to it when you are done with your work. No time wasted.
Pocket is available on all mobile and PC platforms.
OneDrive
There are numerous cloud storage platforms out there but OneDrive stands out because it comes pre-installed on your PC and works well on mobile phones. With OneDrive, you can sync your files (documents, photos, etc.) from your Android device, computer (PC or Mac), and any other device you use. The service comes with free 5GB storage, and with a subscription, you can get up to 1TB.
With all your files synced, you can work wherever you are. You don’t have to carry your PC around since you can access files stored in the cloud using your mobile.

LastPass
The average person out there has signed up for a ton of stuff that they probably don’t even use. Social media, Email lists, Work stuff, websites, apps, and so on. Chances are you won’t recall the password to each of these accounts. With LastPass, you can store your passwords securely and retrieve them whenever you need to log into any account. It even has a password generator and an in-app browser that’s very secure.
Microsoft Office
I’m pretty sure you have this installed on your PC, but I doubt you have the mobile version. Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Note, etc.) are available for mobile devices and with the help of OneDrive, you can create and edit documents wherever you are and sync them to the cloud. This way, you can access the file on any of your devices and continue editing if you weren’t done.
The products are available on all mobile platforms.
