Denola Grey, also known as Adepetun, had his big break in the fashion scene in 2014. It was the year he launched his website, which garnered recognition in June of that year and it was the year he started writing for Bella Naija. He coined the name “Grey” to his name from Christian Grey, a fictional character in the bestselling book, 50 Shades of Grey. He also got his first TV offer with Ebony Life in November of that year and got more publicity on some red carpet moments. Denola Grey is a graduate of Media business from Baylor’s University, Texas. He is known for his slayer killer and custom-made look which has been his style right from his University days. Ugo Monye

Ugo Monye’s rise to fame is one “Lucky Cinderella” story that we don’t get to hear every day. He became a public figure when Big Brother Naija TV host, Ebuka, flaunted his flattering Agbada at Banky W’s wedding and everyone was looking for the designer of the outfit. Lo and behold! It was no other than Ugo Monye. The Ugo Monye brand started as a unisex brand centering more on women but it later became more male-focused and that was how Ebuka’s Agbada came to be. Ugo Monye designs corporate, traditional and casual clothing.  The brand’s clothing has been worn by a handful of celebrities like Jidenna, Joke Silva, Alex Ekubo, Ebuka amongst others. Adebayo Oke-Lawal is the director of Orange Culture. He is one of the pioneers of modern menswear in Nigeria who has succeeded in gradually moving it to a non-traditional style. According to Adebayo, he fashion journey started at the age of 10 when he began sketching. His success in Orange Culture has been attributed to a strong work ethic and financial prudence. Ric Hassani

The “African Gentleman” himself, Ric Hassani, is a singer and a songwriter best known for his single “Gentleman” and debut “African Gentleman”. Ric Hassani also known as Ikechukwu Eric Ahiauzu, has a geeky demeanor about him and he isn’t the stereotypical pop artist you come across every day. However, he is a geek with style. The music video of “Gentleman” revealed Ric as a stylish young man in western-style clothing with national African prints. He is the last born of five older siblings and there is a five-year gap between him and immediate elder sister. Ric graduated from Covenant University and has a Masters in Energy Economics. According to Ric, he was inspired by Triple MG co-founder, Ubi Franklin. His style is characterized by the African Prints that are always found on his clothes.
