5 Fun Places to Visit in Lagos on Children’s Day

Today is Children’s Day and a part of me really craves the magic of my childhood again. In the hustle and bustle of everyday life in Lagos, most adults like me forget to just live a little. That is why I love kids; their innocence is humbling and their sense of fun is beautiful. Today we celebrate them! We celebrate their innocence, forgiving spirit and joyful soul. How can we make today fun for them? Children who are still in their formative years learn a lot from visiting a new environment, so please don’t keep them locked up all day today. Are you in Lagos and not sure where to take your kids today? Here are some fun places to visit within the City of Excellence where you can relax with your kids on this special day:
1. Lekki Leisure Lake
Lekki Leisure is a lake side resort overlooking the Atlantic in the Lekki peninsula area. The resort is operated and managed by Optima Leisure, a leisure asset development and operating company. Catch a view of the Atlantic and feel the excitement on the Quad bikes as you zoom through the dune track.     2. Terra Kulture Have fun with the whole family while educating your kids on African culture in Terra Kulture. Crafts and arts of different Nigerian ethnic groups are on display. Terra Kulture which is located in Lagos State has a library with rich information on Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
  3. Funtopia Water Park Funtopia is  the ideal children’s world. Funtopia Water Park is located in Ibeju-Lekki. There are fun sections for kids below the age of three; parents can have fun with their children when they play, swim and enjoy several water sports. There are also arcade and computer games in ‘Cusco city’, billiards and table tennis in ‘The Shed’ and a wide variety of other activities to keep your children entertained.   4.
