As technology advances, it seems like gadgets and devices are becoming smaller and more portable. Even the way we get entertained seems to be getting smaller, from a TV screen to a computer screen, then to a laptop screen, and now, we get entertainment from a Smartphone.
3M and Roku decided to bring back that big screen experience and still keep that portability that comes with technology advancement. 3M in partnership with Roku has launched a streaming projector- the 3M Streaming Projector.
With this portable device, one can stream movies directly from different channels and from the internet with a Wi-Fi connection. This small device is capable of projecting an image up to 120 inches, perfect for sharing movies with family and friends.
The streaming projector comes with a Roku streaming stick that gives users access to Roku’s platform, which features different genres of music, videos and games.
Mark Colin, Vice President and General Manager of 3M Mobile Interactive Solutions Division said: “Thanks to our partnership with Roku, we are excited to introduce an affordable streaming projector that delivers both a high-quality viewing experience, as well as easy access to a wealth of entertainment”
This device is the first of its kind, and goes for $299 at Amazon.com and has a battery life of 2hours 45 minutes.
