Launched in 2018, Call for Code stands as the largest tech-for-good initiative of its calibre. Organizers encourage developers and innovators from universities, startups, and businesses worldwide to create and contribute to groundbreaking technological solutions addressing social and humanitarian issues. The most promising solutions will be implemented to bring about tangible change.

Benefits
- Grand Prize:$50,000, with an option for solution implementation support from the Call for Code ecosystem and the opportunity for open-source support from The Linux Foundation.
- First Runner-Up:$25,000, with the opportunity for open-source support from The Linux Foundation.
- Second Runner-Up:$10,000, with the opportunity for open-source support from The Linux Foundation.
- University Grant:A total of $30,000 to the school(s) of the top-scoring university team. Additionally, university students in the top three winning teams are eligible for exploration of IBM job opportunities and the option to be paired with an IBM mentor.
- Beyond prizes, participants can enhance their AI, cloud, and other emerging technology skills through access to expert technical mentors, training resources, and events.

Eligibility Criteria
IBM invites university students, developers, and problem-solvers to join Call for Code. From the annual Global Challenge to supplementary events throughout the year and ongoing open-source projects, there are numerous ways to engage. Participate in the capacity that suits you best, and develop skills while effecting meaningful change. Building a strong team is pivotal, and successful teams often amalgamate diverse skill sets to devise unique and impactful solutions.
