Starting from its launch, the Africa Impact Challenge has trained over 500 startups and funded more than 80. This year, the leading teams from the program will receive up to $25,000 (Canadian Dollars) in grant funding or a simple agreement for future equity (SAFE). They will also enjoy an all-expense paid incubation at the University of Toronto, Canada.
Benefits
Top teams in the Africa Impact Challenge will benefit from the program in the following ways:- Receive a Simple Agreement for Future Equity (SAFE) worth $25,000 (Canadian Dollars) or as a non-dilutive grant of $10,000 (Canadian Dollars)
- Get free incubation at the University of Toronto, Canada
- Be mentored by startup experts
- Have a path plotted that takes their solution deeper into their target market

Eligibility
Founders who wish to participate in this challenge must meet the following criteria:- Must be an African less than 39 years old
- The solution proposed must be driven by technology
- Must target non-consumption by increasing accessibility, affordability and adoption
- The business model must be innovative and scalable
