The latest cohort of this initiative is funded by the Visa Foundation. AfriLabs calls on women entrepreneurs from across the continent to apply for a place in this program. It intends to select 500 entrepreneurs from the pool of applicants and take them through a rigorous training and mentorship regime. After this, a total of 10 businesswomen, one from each pilot city, will be chosen and given a $10,000 grant. In Nigeria, the pilot cities for this program are Lagos and Abuja.

Eligibility
This program is open to businesses that meet the following criteria:- Should be at least 51% owned by a woman or women
- Must be led by a woman
- Located in Lagos or Abuja
- Be registered with the appropriate authorities
- Must have been in existence for at least 6 months
- Should have an existing product or service, and evidence that the product or service is being sold (evidence of sales will be requested as part of the due diligence process)
- Have an existing business model
