Nigerians love to travel. We are all over the world, in almost every town/country, which is why one out of ever four Black person is a Nigerian. One of the primary reasons most Nigerians travel is for business, and one mode of transportation used within and outside the country is air.
So, here are the top 10 most travelled routes by Nigerians, both at home and abroad:
Based on flight patterns, one can surmise that Nigerians travel mainly to Ghana and South Africa among African Nations. Other African countries in the running for most booked routes are Kenya, Rwanda and Libya (Libya often as an illegal immigration route to Europe).
Apart from Dubai in Middle East Asia, more Nigerians tend to go to America and Europe. Very few Nigerians are willing to travel to non-English speaking countries like China, South Korea, Bangladesh, etc.
While within Nigeria, the states with active flight schedules are Lagos, Abuja, Calabar, Asaba, Warri, Uyo, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Jos, Kaduna, Kano, Maiduguri, Yola andOwerri.
