₦2 Million Grand Prize on Offer in the NCC Annual Innovation Competition 2023 for Startups

  The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is inviting startups and tech hubs from across Nigeria to enter its annual innovation competition. It says that the contest, which is aimed at supporting creative problem-solving tech solutions, will see top participants awarded up to ₦2 million in prize money.

This year’s edition of the NCC Annual Innovation Competition is the third. It is themed “Utilizing Indigenous Digital Solutions to Bridge the Digital Divide.” In line with this theme, the NCC will be supporting and rewarding home-grown solutions developed by players in the Nigerian ICT space.

Benefits

The top startup or tech hub will win ₦2 million. The first and second runners-up will get ₦1.5 million and ₦1 million each. Other competitors will receive consolation prizes.

Tech hubs or startups intending to participate in the Annual Innovation Competition should meet these criteria:

How the Program Will Unfold Applications will remain open until January 15, 2023. About 15 tech hubs and startups shortlisted from the pool of entrants will be announced on January 23. They will be invited to take part in a pitch/exhibition set to hold on February 7-8 at the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) in Oshodi, Lagos.
