  The WTO and ITC launched the Women Exporters in the Digital Economy (WEIDE) Fund in February 2024 to support women entrepreneurs in expanding their businesses through international trade and digital transformation. This initiative offers up to USD 50 million in funding.

What the Fund Provides

The WEIDE Fund helps women entrepreneurs access:
  • Networks and support services to create more inclusive business ecosystems through private and public sector partnerships
  • Grants and financial institution support to reduce funding gaps
  • Technical assistance and training for digital skills and export competitiveness
  • Export market connections, including digital market platforms

Eligible Applicants

The fund targets:
  • Women-led MSMEs in the formal sector that are currently exporting or are ready to begin
  • Women-led micro and small enterprises in the formal sector with export potential

Important Dates

  • Application period: April 22 to May 18, 2025
  • Applications now open for businesses in the Dominican Republic, Mongolia, and Nigeria
  • Selection of winners: June 2025
