  If you’re a content creator on YouTube and you’re looking to take your channel to the next level, here’s a contest that could help you achieve that.

YouTube is calling on content creators from across sub-Saharan Africa to enter for its NextUp Contest 2021. This contest allows winners to attend a virtual creator camp, and upgrade their production equipment, alongside other benefits. In the past, the YouTube NextUp Contest has helped creators on the platform bolster their presence and reach. Many of them have gone on to become some of YouTube’s biggest stars.

Benefits

Winners selected from the pool of entrants into this competition will benefit in the following ways:
  • Take part in a 5-day virtual event, which will include activities and workshops.
  • Get trained in production, editing, and audience development by experts and popular creators.
  • $1,000 in production equipment.
  • At least three months of continuous support from the YouTube content team.

Eligibility

Persons interested in entering for the contest should meet these conditions to qualify for selection:
  • Have a YouTube channel.
  • Live in Nigeria or South Africa.
  • Have a YouTube channel with between 10,000 and 100,000 subscribers.
  • Uploaded at least three videos in the last 90 days.
  • YouTube account must have recorded no copyright or community guidelines strikes.
