Unilever Plc has been a household name since 1971 when they brought quality products to Nigerian homes. Unilever’s business model drive is to grow a consistent, profitable, responsible brand, and with that in mind, it’s no surprise they have announced the rebranding of their Pears baby range of products to give better value to mothers and babies in the country.
According to the manufacturers of Pears baby, the rebrand of the product is aimed at sharing the unique benefits of Pears baby range care which are; pure, mild, and gentle on baby’s skin. Speaking during the relaunch, held at the Amuwo-Ododfin Maternal and Child Center, Festac, Lagos, Unilever Nigeria’s Category Manager, Skin Care, Adetoun Adegbite explained that rebranding the products was to celebrate Pears’ heritage as a caring and trusted baby care brand, which has been going through series of evolution since 1971 when it was first introduced to the Nigerian market.

Adetoun emphasized that “For more than 40 years, Pears has served Nigerian babies and their mothers with care products ranging from Pears Baby Lotion, Pears Baby Oil, Pears Baby Powder to Pears Baby Jelly and Pears Moisturizing Cream made from carefully selected pure ingredients”.
She added that “Unilever made pears with the finest and purest form of ingredient that prevents babies from having rashes as it contains olive oil, thus moisturizes the skin, as such should not be compared to other products”.
Unlike the former bottle with the problem of content leaking from the lid, the new brand of pears bottle has a firm cap, which comes in a variety of shapes that are easy to handle.
