The Voice Nigeria ended on Sunday, 24th September 2017 with #TeamTimi’s Idyl crowned the winner after a number of performances by all the contestants who made it to the finals of the show. The show which was presented to us by Airtel started last year, where we saw Arese from #TeamWaje win the competition. Well, this year we were all set for a bigger and better the voice Nigeria with 48 contestants who made it through the auditioning stage and a new face in the judges/coaches sit (Yemi Alade) who replaced Tu Baba from season 1. After a few months and many performances, the contestants were finally down to 8 with two contestants from each coach. Jahtell and Idyl for #TeamTimi Symeca and Chris Rio for #TeamYemi Ebube and Yimika for #TeamPato Wow and J’Dess for #TeamWaje After the first set of performances, J’dess, Yimika, Jahtell and Chris Rio were evicted. It was quite a shocker for most viewers who had tipped Jahtell to win. The next set of performances saw only Ebube and Idyl go through to the finals as Wow and Symeca were evicted. For the final performance, Idyl performed “This time” by John Legend and Ebube performed “I am your angel” by Celine Dion Afterwards, Idyl was named the winner of The Voice Nigeria season 2. Timi Dakolo was super proud of his protégé as they celebrated the winning moment together.   Feature Image Credit: Premium Times
