The Society for the Performing Arts in Nigeria, SPAN, recently hosted a 3-day event to celebrate its 10th anniversary. The celebration kicked off with the IDO dance battle, a free event on Thursday, 23rd April, 2015 and continued on Saturday, 25th April, 2015. The show reinforced SPAN’s vision and the need to develop more educational programs; building a place to accommodate students and citizens that want to explore the wonders of the performing arts. Sarah Boulos, the founder and chairman of The Society for Performing Arts in Nigeria said the society has trained and/or contributed to over five hundred individuals in the professional field. She also said SPAN partnered with over 100 NGOs and provided over thirty jobs in the entertainment industry last year.
