In the music industry, there are a lot of people who contribute to the making of the entire music we hear, however, they sometimes get little or no recognition. We would examine some of these people and see what exactly they do and how important they are.

The Beat Makers:

Normally, this would consist of people combining to make live music while the singer sings to the rhythm but with digital production available, one man can practically play everything and make it into a beat on his computer. This doesn’t in any way, negate the importance of the role of live instrumentalist, though, everything has its place.

The Instrumentalists:

They create the beats that echo in their various instruments with a great dynamic and real feel to it, rather than the static and robotic feel of a digital beat. The instrumentalists feature in-studio digital production but majorly make their appearance and are felt more on musical stages due to its dynamism and on the spot creativity, they bring to every track.

The Backup Singers:

The Backup Singers are probably the most ignored as they get little or no recognition at all, even with the enormous amount of work they put in. Being a backup singer is demanding. It requires precision and a high level of skill and understanding of harmonies. So, these are the guys who act as backbones to the lead vocalist/singer.

The Producers:

A producer is not just a beat maker, he is more than that. Consequently, he doesn’t just create beats but follows through on the entire music production process and brings out the best from everyone involved and as the name implies, produces the music through the various inputs of various parties.

The Sound Engineers:

These are the people who mix the song, blending the harmonies at correct volumes, the beats as well as the lead voice. Its music and everyone can’t be all loud and in the surface, the different blends of sounds at the right volume could make all the difference in the music production so the guys are so important. It is often said that while all sounds should be heard, some should be felt. They also master the track. All of these people work hand in hand most times to produce the best of songs
