  Applications are currently open for the Federal Government’s NextGen RESCO Leadership Training Program. This initiative is aimed at closing the skills gap in the renewable energy sector. If you’re a young person who’s passionate about renewable energy and would like to work in that sector, you may apply for this opportunity.

The NextGen RESCO Leadership Training Program is organized by the Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), along with the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) and the Ecological Innovation Empowerment Initiative (EIEI). It will last for 12 months and will offer 60 successful applicants a chance to learn from and work with stakeholders in the energy sector.

Eligibility

This opportunity is open to persons who meet the following criteria:
  • Should have a CGPA of at least 3.5 on a 5.0 scale (or its equivalent)
  • Have a maximum of two years of postgraduate experience
  • Should possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Applications from female candidates are encouraged
  • Candidates serving under the NYSC program in Abuja can also apply
