The Citi Foundation, which is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of the Citi Group, is inviting community organizations across the world to apply for grant funding through its Global Innovation Challenge. This Global Innovation Challenge is primarily a request for proposals from community organizations that are developing innovative solutions for low-income youth, especially those between 15 and 24 years old.

The grants to be awarded are catalytic, meaning that they are aimed at kick-starting growth and impact beyond what is achieved with the initial funding. About 50 community organizations will be selected for funding in this manner, all of them located in areas where the Citi Group has a presence. There will be other forms of (non-financial) assistance rendered to grant recipients by the Citi Foundation.
