Canon says it’s determined to support young women who desire a career in sales. As such, they will be investing in the professional development of females educated up to the tertiary level, and supporting their transition to roles in sales. Ultimately, they hope, efforts like theirs will lead to a greater representation of females in sales across the formal economy.

Benefits

Persons who Canon selects to take part in its sales trainee program will benefit from it in the following ways:
  • Be hired as a long-term sales intern in Canon’s sales department (the internship will last for a year)
  • Be mentored by experienced sales professionals
  • Learn essential sales skills through facilitator-led sessions, online and offline
  • Gain experience in sales by working on real-life tasks
  • Will be considered for full employment by Canon at the end of the internship

Eligibility

Canon says it is keen on hearing from persons who meet these criteria:
  • Be final-year female students or recent graduates who are interested in a career in sales
  • Should be able to work for 5 days a week
  • Must have a good grasp of Microsoft Office applications
  • Candidates with a driver’s license will be preferred
  • Should have a good command of the English language (verbal and written)
