After reports that some PDP officials are trying to rig the Anambra Delegate election against Peter Obi surfaced on social media, supporters of the politician have come forward to raise their voices under the hashtags #1MillionMarch4PeterObi and #GiveUsPeterObi2023.

The reports claim that a conspiracy to undermine the political base of Peter Obi in Anambra state exists, and the plan is to pick specific delegates who will work against Peter Obi in the May 28th PDP primaries. The people behind this have been accused of trying to alter the list of the duly elected Anambra delegates in other to undermine Peter Obi’s progress in the Primary election.

In the light of this, a nationwide march has been scheduled to hold on Saturday, the 21st of May 2022. Political shirts with the picture of Peter Obi on them to show solidarity have been made. Nigerian Twitter users are also starting a new challenge for the scheduled March. For the challenge, people are encouraged to record a short video of themselves inviting people to the nationwide #1MillionMarch4PeterObi.

Peter Obi has been commended for igniting the fire of hope among Nigerians irrespective of tribe or religion. In an interview he had with Arise TV on the 17thof this month, the politician had not failed to air his views on the current affairs of the country.
