The 2024 Paris Olympics in France will officially commence today, and Team Nigeria will be represented by 88 athletes; 23 men and 65 women across 12 sports.

- Nigeria’s highest representation comes in athletics, with 18 male and 18 female representatives totalling 36 athletes.
- Football has the second-highest representatives, with 18 female players featuring for the Super Falcons at the global showpiece.

- In wrestling where Nigeria won medals during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the country will be represented by a total of six wrestlers, five females and one male.
- Four table tennis players will also compete at the sporting event for the country, two players in the male category and two in the female category.
- 5Nigeria is known for having produced some of the best boxers in the world, and three boxers will represent the country at the competition, two males and one female.

At the 2024 Paris Olympics, all eyes will be on Tobi Amusan, one of our highest chances for a gold medal in athletics. Generally, team Nigeria will aim to surpass its achievement at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
