Ever got to work in the morning, signed into your computer and then quietly scanned through your google alert but then one particular one caught your attention … you scroll back, shout hallelujah, do a happy dance then remember you are actually at work and quietly sit back down(smiles); then thought to yourself “I will definitely continue the happy dance at home”? (winks). maxresdefault I bet you are wondering, what the raucous is all about. Well, after the shocking arrest and incarceration of Empire Entertainment head, Lucious Lyon (Terrence Horward), we watched as season two picked up right after it. Apparently still in federal lockup, Lucious is trying to run Empire from inside, while a headline-grabbing state prosecutor hangs her political ambitions on bringing him down- regardless of what it takes. Meanwhile, Cookie stages a star-studded #FreeLucious concert in his support, while also scheming with Andre, Hakeem, Anika and the business savvy Mimi Whiteman (guess star, Marisa Tomei), to finalize the hostile takeover of Empire. As we all know (Well, as the Empire obsessed fans know), the pilot season ended with Lucious in jail, Jamal leading the company while Cookie and Hakeem conspire with Anika for a hostile takeover. Although the Lyon family head will be seen in jain when season 2 begins, he will return with a vengeance and take everyone who plotted against him down. Well our friend, showrunner Ilene Chaiken teased in a new preview video, “He (Lucious) is coming back with a vengeance and with more power and determination than ever”. (Sigh), I’m so waiting in anticipation for the season two… Well waiting with my fingers crossed or perhaps scouting for news about it on the net. Till then, I remain you fellow Empire obsessed fan.     About the Writer: Eniola Adeniji is a woman after God’s own heart, a motivational Writer, Speaker, Fashion and Photography addict.
