  • Source your t-shirts

If you stay in a place like Lagos, you can get quality and affordable t-shirts for as low as #1,500 at Yaba, Balogun market or Badagry. Ensure that as you go in search of affordability, also be on the lookout for quality. In the end, your product quality is what will set you apart from competitors. Customers will be willing to pay more than double of your cost price, as long as they are getting quality from you.
  • Print your designs

To start a t-shirt branding or customization business in Nigeria, you must not necessarily own all the equipment for printing. Again, if you live in Lagos, a place like Mushin is known for having a plethora of printing guys who can do the work at very affordable prices.

Consider your cost of production, in addition to other overhead costs, then you set your desired profit margin. Make sure that it is neither unreasonably high nor low as this could paint a wrong image of your brand.
