JJC

Sweet Sensation is a rocking chain restaurant where the entire family can come for a weekend treat, and parties can even be booked there. Their décor is in line with their motto ‘We Got Swagga’; glass partitions, marble topped tables, curvy chairs and straight benches, they keep it current y’all. But one thing they stand out for is their boldness with new treats. Once every while, they come up with fresh indigenous combos for their eager customers, like their yam and garden eggs sauce. Recently, I visited to try out the latest offering: Jamaican Jerk Chicken (JJC) and rice. JJC, First, the wait, they said I would have to wait for five minutes, but I was being entertained watching the people in the dining area, so I didn’t pay so much attention to the time. It actually took about twenty minutes. Then, I was alerted that my order was ready, only for me to get to the counter and find my meal neatly stuffed into a plastic take away pack. So I took it away, after all, the major thing was enjoying the meal. Now the meal; the name put me in mind of something hot and smoky and jamming to the senses, Jamaican right? Well, it isn’t hot; but the chicken is smoky, like barbecue chicken without the burn. It is spicy, and I loved the sauce, I just wished for a little more heat. And I wondered why it took so long to prepare, maybe because of the barbecue chicken, since the rice was the basic white variety and the sauce must have been prepared already. Nice meal altogether, great to order when with friends so you can pass the waiting time amiable. And you could always throw on some tabasco sauce to give it some burn! Get the meal at any of their outlets near you. CONTACT: Corporate Head Office No. 3 Opebi Road Ikeja, Lagos.
